Topeka Literacy Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers who help adults learn to read and write to improve their economic standing and raise their self-esteem.

We help adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills as well as those who want to improve basic math skills.

Topeka Literacy Council provides one-on-one tutoring to adults who are struggling with reading and writing. TLC evaluates potential students and matches them with volunteer tutors. Tutor training workshops are held twice a year to prepare volunteers to work with adults who wish to improve their literacy skills.
