Moburts

Moburts is a family-owned spice and culinary shop located in the heart of downtown Topeka, Kansas. Founded by Al and Mary Jo Struttman, the business began as a passion project sparked by their love for global flavors and quality ingredients. Their inspiration came from travels, spice shop visits, and memorable meals, eventually leading them to create a space where others could explore and enjoy fresh, high-quality seasonings.

Originally starting at the Topeka Farmers’ Market in 2013, Moburts grew into a brick-and-mortar store, first on Gage and later moving to 820 S Kansas Avenue. The shop specializes in an impressive selection of spices, herbs, sea salts, flavored sugars, and handcrafted blends. In addition, they offer premium California olive oils, wine vinegar’s, and aged Italian Balsamic vinegar’s, all sourced from small, independent producers.

Moburts goes beyond retail by offering educational cooking classes that delve into the history and uses of spices, herbs, and oils. These classes, along with their personalized customer service, create a welcoming environment for both novice cooks and seasoned chefs.
